Title: [HELP] Sitemap 404
Post by: OCS on December 14, 2017, 08:37:42 PM
When I generate the sitemaps in the admin i get a success message.
When I click "View your current sitemap.xml file" i get the website and a 404 page not found.
The URL is loaded correctly it seems .com/sitemap.xml

@MB Themes..
So please tell me what more information do you need?
Like I said.. When I generate the sitemaps I get the success message that sitemaps were generated correctly.
Then, when I try to view the sitemaps, the website shows me a 404 page not found..
Not sure what more I can say about this..

Url, error log. Have you checked chmod permissions in base folder if is possible to create new file?

@MB Themes
Url i'd rather not post here in public forum. I will pm you this.
Error log I checked and there is nothing related to sitemaps in there. If you want I can forward you this.
Permissions are OK. I disabled the current sitemap.xml file and generated a new one. I see the new file generated in FTP root.

@OCS
So can you see sitemap.xml on your FTP?
I've checked your site and sitemap.xml redirects to homepage (means error 404). This should never happen and represents problem with your htaccess.
To be sure try to clean htaccess file.

It was indeed an .htaccess issue.
Just needed to be pointed in the right direction.
Thanks.

I also have the same issue. When I generate sitemap from oc-admin, it shows and I can see it in my FTP. However, after some time; It gives 404 error when you try to access exemple.com/sitemap.xml and you cannot see it in the FTP. what could probably be the course?

@support
You have some command probably that removes this file.

Ok. I have no idea of the commands that could probably remove the file. Do you have any idea?

Hello ,

Thanks in Advance.

This is Sanjay, and i have little issue ,  I have changed in All in one Seo Tools Delimiter of Elements in Title "-" to "|"

After that some pages from google search giving me error 404 because they are previous link with "-"

Is there any option to redirect that page to original page or home Page.

Thanks,

Changing meta tags has no impact on URL at all.
