It appears that when you have the infinite scroll plugin installed, users don't really get to see the SAVE THIS SEARCH button as it goes down down down the page.
Can anything be done about it? Does the position of the SAVE THIS SEARCH button need to be changed?

Well, that is infinite search, you will also not get to the footer
You could move that block into sidebar. Will consider of having such setting in theme.
