child theme issues, them not update, translations not showing

1. I can update parent theme, but child theme will not update.

2. After update parent theme all translations I cannot see in the front end. But I can see them in the back admin end.

1. Yes that is reason why child theme feature was introduced
2. Child theme should be able to reuse parent theme translations.
Update has no impact on translations until you used en_US folder
