If the users use the epsilon desktop version they cannot switch between white and dark mode?
In the mobile version i see a button in the settings but in the desktop computer version i see no option to switch beteen white and dark theme

Users can disable dark mode if it is active. Users are not usually going to activate dark mode by themselves.

Are there any plans to update this behaviour in one of the next releases of the Epsilon theme? So the users will be able to "switch on" the dark mode manually if they want (e.g. by a toggle at the top of the site)?

Right now we do not have this on plan.
