When I try to create the Facebook app it gives error

When I try to create the Facebook app it gives error when adding the "domain of your application". I have tried https://www.mydomain.com , http://www.mydomain.com , www.mydomain.com , all of them trigger the message (translated from spanish) "The application domain must match with the domains of URL of games of Facebook (https) , URL for websites for cellphones , binary URL of unity, URL of the website, or secure URL of the page. Fix your following domains: www.mydomain.com . What can this be?

You should probably use just https version

But I tried and it isnt working. Someone mentioned elsewhere to "validate" that the website it's yours. In the past you didnt have to do that with Facebook apps. Is this true? Do I have to do that somehow?
