Favorite lists and plugin issues
« on: November 17, 2024, 06:23:41 PM »
I found multiple issues and things that don't have any logic.
1. If you create a list ex. "List1" and have favorite products in it. If you log out, add another product into favorites and after log in it will create a new default list and add that product to it. Seems like a bug.
2. When you add to favorites from item page it counts favorited even if user is not logged in and also counts multiple times if you add/remove multiple times. Should only count for logged in users because that's the only number that matters.
3. Can we change /fi-favorite-items URL to custom?
4. Heart icon in header doesn't live update when adding to favorites, needs page refresh. Bleah...
5. In my account in the menu favorite link doesn't have the counter like default links. I know it has counter in header but also should have it here.
6. Overall I would suggest removing lists altogether and just keep all the favorited items on one page.

@katalin2k
1) ?
2) it couns all. you can enable favorite items for logged-in users only
3) in index.php, routes
4) it should not update on live, but after refresh
5) counters are not always included in links
6) we plan to remove custom favorite lists in future
To get fast support, we need following details: Detail description, URL to reproduce problem, Screenshots

1. Doesn't really matter because you said you will remove this feature. Any ETA?
2. Didn't see that option anywhere.
3. Thanks but do I need to replace every instance of fi-favorite-items or are there some that need to remain?
4. Well, it should update live and should only count favorited from logged in users.
5. Well, they should...
6. Please do so, it's absolutely useless
