It would be great if there was a plugin to use the Cloudflare R2  service.

There is already an Amazon S3 plugin that could be modified to use the Cloudflare service.

The advantage of the Cloudflare service is that for a lot of sites, the service would be free to use, as the first 10GB of storage is free and includes a generous amount of data transfer too.

That is true, but there is no cost. The invoice is zero. You are only charged if you use more than the huge free quota.

The Forever Free Quota:

10 GB / month storage.

Class A operations: mutate state
1,000,000 / month

Class B operations: read existing state
10,000,000 / month

Who doesn't want a faster loading site for no extra cost or a relatively small cost for very busy sites?

Tested multiple S3 services, cloudflare R2 is absolutely worst from all points of view.
It also require DNS to target cloudflare, for some issue I've not found fix at all.
0.000 support, no way to contact anyone, ... All wrong.
Wasabi setup in few minutes, no CC needed... Not getting it.

That is a shame. I've used the Cloudflare R2 service on a forum, it seems to work OK, the good thing is that it's free for most people due to the generous free allowance. The other popular S3 compatible service is Digital Ocean Spaces, but the cost starts at $5 per month, but is still a lot cheaper than AWS S3.

R2 does not have also public url and generally caused a lot of issues, even upload to bucket did not worked for unknown reason.
But again 0 support is worst, you cannot ask anyone what that is.
We are working on pre-integration of 6-8 services, but you can anytime use own just by defining endpoint url, bucket and api keys.
