There are many concerns regarding apps:
- price - most of people think they will get native fully functional & customized app with all features osclass has for 50$... But it cost hundreds to thousands. Spanish guys tried it, 400$ for average app - no sales at all
- having 500 android users does not mean 500 app downloads, I would bet 5-10 real downloads for selling/buying needs
- person working using tablet or mobile instead of using laptop is fool and will not be more productive using app
- most of your customers are probably people those sell or buy something from time to time, it does not make sense for them to have 1 extra app
- now you tell you are ready to invest 1000$ into app that will be used by 10 people. Wouldnt it better to invest those money in way all customers will benefit? Seo, speed, cdn, new features,...
- saw some apps from india guys on evanto market or similar for 99 ios & android.. check sales, reviews and comments...does not make sense at all.
I agree with you that a mobile application is a very expensive pleasure, and we are not competing with AliExpress.com or eBay.com, sellers search and place their products on many platforms, which also take money or a percentage of the sale. Therefore, the seller is looking for any platforms to sell. But the seller needs buyers, and buyers are very lazy, and if a simple buyer knows how to use a mobile browser, then he is already an advanced Internet user.
There are many message boards that offer users their mobile applications, and users still leave them as soon as you run out of money in Google Ads. This is mainly due to the fact that buyers do not find what they are looking for. This is for one reason.
- sellers place their products wherever they can, copy the same text and take photos from the Internet, sites become similar to each other and lose search privileges, the buyer also sees that everything on the site is the same as on other sites, therefore leaves.
In this situation, there is a way out by focusing on attracting just ordinary, ordinary users. Non-advanced users give exclusive content and original photos, arranging their garage sales, they do not attract sellers, but ordinary buyers just like them. Now communities and groups in Viber, Telegram and fecebook are very popular precisely because of their easy and quick accessibility, they are always at hand, I think that initially osclass was created for this as an adaptive and convenient platform.
I do not blame you at all, forgive me for my bad English, I think osclass has every chance to become an excellent platform and this is only your merit, you made a huge contribution, revived and raised the project to the highest level. It remains only to somehow make smartphones become friends with osclass.
Android and iOS create space for themselves, displace the home computer and Internet browsers, become monopolists of services, most likely we will either have to adapt to their mobile environment or create our own environment. But in order to create your own environment, you need to be in a smartphone.
