Hello,
Can you guys build a plugin that has better item view counting, to just count views based on session, cookie and IP?
Also there should be a section on view items pages where you can see unique total views, unique phone number views, unique STILL favorited count and number of messages per current item. Just like OLX has.

Well, you should. It’s not that complicated but it helps a lot users to know how well their listing is doing.

We may be adding phone number counts to osclass itself but not yet decided what would be correct implementation.

For me it seems very important to count how many people viewed phone number for an ad and I would buy a plugin like that in a second.
It is very important to count only unique views and if you decide to build the plugin build it as “item statistics” and include views, messages, phone number views, favorited.

BTW, The way you hide phone numbers is not very ok because they can be easily scraped using a basic scraper.

I need views statistics too. It will boost users and they will come back again and again to check it and I will make more from Adsense.

Exactly. This should have been implemented in osclass but will be ok as a paid plugin too. Hopefully someone builds it soon.

Problem with phone clicks is that each theme implements it in different way.
Another issue is that benefit of such stat is not high, as user knows how many people called him that is much more precise then phone number click.
Views + Premium views are available and provide details if listing is being opened or no.

Trust me phone number views are quite important for the customers that post listings, gives them more confidence that listing is good and has customers seeing it.
