Hello, in the Gamma theme, despite the ban, the user can only select the parent category for the publication. the error is that there is no message about an unselected child category.

Osclass does not generate such error and does not do such validation on the fly.
More, it is probably even not possible to pass such condition into validation script.
Solution would have to be handled by theme itself, not allowing selection of parent categories.

The gamma theme has comfortable and beautiful category placement options. you can choose another option, I prefer to make a simple hint.
