Auctions Plugin for Osclass Classifieds CMS (https://osclasspoint.com/osclass-plugins/advertisement-and-monetize/auctions-osclass-plugin-i210) has been released recently.
Hello. There is also an idea, an auction plugin for the osclass that can works well with the "make an offer" plugin. And it can be used in two kinds of websites.
1. A clean Auctions, osclass based , auction website similar like Ebay in its original form.
2. Regular classifieds website with the option to add an auction function to any category. But as soon as someone publishes the first such ad, a separate category "Auction" appears.
Thus, the same ad where the "Auction" function is added appears in two places in its original category, for example, in the Vehicles category, and in the Auction category.
It seems to me that a plugin like this will add functionality and novelty and many different features possibilities and opportunities.

Hm. An Auction plugin would be great ( willing to have it, and even pay for a custom develop). Im sure other agree but maybe made in this way :
1. Users can post Auction only in a predefined category ( created from backend with this purpose )
2. Users can put : - starting price
- ending price
- bid increment sum ( a minimum sum which he can bid )
- auction time
and all the other default atrr form theme, or plugins.
3. This should be chargeable if the admin desires it ( os Pay )
4. This type of listing should be displayed only on Auction page, or separate slider on front page ( few great options for themes - ability to choose which listing categories is to be displayed front page / search page )
5. The user who publishes an auction should have the ability to award a winner.
From business type of view, I'm sure it will pay of the effort of developing such a plugin ??? ??? ???

You will find out, that you miss some features and there is much more of them.
as example:
- minimum acceptable amount
- time countdown
- assurance winner will pay
- auction can have different formats (dutch ?)
- mailing

Don't take me wrong, we are not going to work on this right now.
It is work for few weeks and now does not look like highest priority.

Auction would be a great feature indeed.
Perhaps simplified could be “sell to the best offer” where only the offers are collected and presented in order so the seller can choose to contact the “bidders” in order.
After all bidding like eBay is in fact challenging and requires strong and complex business processes, like escrow, returns,…
However a simple ordered contacts list with the offer values is a workable, simple, no responsibilities mechanism that helps sellers.
I which I had that on “olex”.
Just want to sell an item, don’t know how much people are willing to pay for it, or just want to get rid of it for the best offer.
That’s something I’d buy.

Proxy bidding occurs when bidders have the option to set a maximum price that they would be willing to pay for an item and then allow the computer system to bid for them by the bid increment until someone places a higher bid than their maximum.
The bid increment is pre-set by the auction and is the amount that a proxy bid must increase by. The computer will place a new bid following the bid increment every time someone else places a higher bid than you and will continue to do that until the auction is over and you win, or the price goes over your set maximum. Bidders are typically notified if their maximum has been outbid and have the option to set a new maximum to continue participating in the auction.

This made me very confused. Would have been much better if there is a checkbox with (Auto bid) with question mark. And mouse over the question mark show the above text as you mentioned above.

It is called proxy bidding, not auto bid.
There is setting for admin to enable/disable it as well for auctioneer to enable proxy bidding or disable it and run standard auction instead.
