I saw that video but it did not shown too much what plugin does, except it added whatsapp button to item page.
From osclass 4.1 (I think) you have "Contact Other" field available, that can be easily customized to whatever. You can change label to whatsapp and just redesign a bit listing page to show it as whatsapp button.

Not too much work.
