I belive that, Still their is a huge space in the market for classified websites...

I am working on my website since 3 years still not completed, Still i am talking about suceesful classified website with out completing my website,
Its looks funny, but i want to share my ideas and tips Definately it will help you.

Before Launching...

Dont use free themes and Free plugins only, You are going to start a Business, So to get best result You should invest small amount of money in the begining.

1. Choose Catchy Domain name, Its easy to remember
Dont keep similar pattern Classified names which exisits in the market. Dont try to copy other website names, it must be Unique

2. Create simple logo or Word mark
Try to create simple logo, u can take reference from internet, Or else you can choose word mark using simple and good looking font

3. Choose best theme from Os class point
I suggest you Ellipson theme, It has best UI and UX Designs, Keep single color, Dont put so many colors keep simple and neat.

4. Start website for your locality.
Dont add so many countries and town, Add only Maximum 2-3 Towns and localities in the begining.

5, Keep few Catagories, Dont add so many catagories without ads, Make sure before launching minimum you neeed 20 Best genuine ads in each catagory.

6. Invite sellers and professionals before launching, Give them free Business Cards, one side with their details another side with your website detials. its budjet friendly marketing idea.

7. Add your contact number , whats app number, Email adress for Quick contact

8. Add your office adress, or get permit from local officials, or register as Buisness so people will  trust you.

9. Print Flyers with your all detais, And distribute in your locality only.

10. Create Basic PWA APP, Its avilbale in Oslasspoint

11, Keep only Genuine ads

12. Dont pay for online ads in the begining

13. Make youtube videos, Like explainer videos.

14. Put few banners in the busy areas, After few days change the loaction.


After Launching

1. Slowly work on SEO

2. Post blogs on your website, Share posts on social media

3. Respond cutomers quickly.

4. Send newletters to customers

5. once you feel you reached target,  start to add one more town slowly

6. Validate every user in the registration process

All nice to read and super tips but the reason for success is not only this... I have been usung this all for 2 years now: pagespeed is 99% between 75 and 90 on mobile. Seo score is 91. I am only using paid plug-ins and scripts. Spent more then 4000 euro investments on domains, private server, osclasspoint etc.. My website is completely free no matter if business or personal. Little not annoying Google ads like most users. And still no or to little subscribers....  For me competition matters in small places like Belgium I guess...

Don't spend on google ads and depend google,  to appear in the google first page. definately we  need to spend money on SEO for sure...

Target specific areas, Don't add so many location, start from one  or 2 to small towns only...

Try offline marketing, meet sellers and professionals individually... Strat with local, u can build business trust locally,

I’ve another classified ads site with another old provider script but I never invested that much money probably £800-1k max back in 2017 and now I’ve 120k ad listings on it and earns me around £1.2k in revenue per month from Adsense alone. Now I’m trying to make another one with this script so I’m trying to see how it goes and I’ve spent more money on this new osclass one with themes, plugins,  design, premium domains .com,uk,.co.uk, server, trademark, ltd company, etc and I’m in process doing the apps too and not even earning from it than I did with the first one which I’m earning a decent amount :/ times change fast over the years and more things cost money. Google ranking algorithm also changed significantly over the passed two years so it doesn’t matter really matter what speed score %, themes, plugins  etc that’s only 5% of the job done. You need to build good backlinks to other sites, very good content etc it’s tremendous work which is expected not just the structure of website. Don’t spend too much time on speed/optimisation, layout, plugins, themes and updates because you’ll get tired after doing other important stuff. Work in that area only at start spend couple months on that then only concentrate on content/backlinks daily. You need very good backlinks and grow gradually which this task alone may take good year or two. Most people just make site and then leave it and hope it grows itself which will not. Always grow your DA,Moz rank, reputation!!  That alone is 40%+ along with content. From my first classifieds I was buying monthly backlinks, social signal packages eg web wiki backlinks, articles on sites every month or two max I spend like 80-200£ on seo backlinks from companies. I find them on blackhatworld.com (it’s a forum with good knowledge in seo and lots of people provide seo services like backlinks etc) and with that it helped me grow my site by learning in that forum. I didn’t just stop doing work with just website speed and all in one seo plugin haha. And a few tips is don’t overload your site with plugins. They aren’t needed, nor make it over designed, make it simple and white.. people like simple and easy to navigate and people also like old classic layouts just show content and menu to access categories etc. that’s what I’ve learnt over the years.

I have been running Google campaigns for a months but there is very little or no signups for sellers.
Google campaigns and fb compaigns are only good to find buyers but not sellers.

Most of sellers I have been getting them through offline marketing, I send emails on different sellers inviting them to sell on my platform
And that's how I have been able to get good number of sellers

Offline marketing is good in some places not everywhere

I am very curious about effectiveness of google camoaigns, never noticed success out of it.
