Title: Which plugin is better
Post by: ally on December 01, 2017, 03:35:56 AM
What is the different between

Instant Messenger Plugin ( https://osclasspoint.com/plugins/messaging-and-communication/instant-messenger-plugin_i50 )

Online Chat Plugin ( https://osclasspoint.com/plugins/messaging-and-communication/online-chat-plugin_i58 )

Which one is better

I'm looking to add messenger where a registered user/member can send instant messenger to a seller/publisher. I also want to show online icon if the seller is online.

Thanks

@ally
Both are different. Instant messenger plugin is for "offline" communication... same as emails or SMS are.
Online chat is for real time communication, same as i.e. Whatsapp or Facebook Messenger is.

It depends just on you if you want to enable online chat on your site between buyer and seller.
But I like that plugin 😉

I've also purchased the Instant messenger Plugin. I'm interested in the Online Chat as well and would like to know if these 2 plugins work together/integrate. Ie. The online chat messages are stored together with the Instant Messenger chats?

@terry
Plugin works without conflict. These are 2 separate products and there is no merge of messages from one plugin into another.
