I’m looking to setup a generic ads site,
and replicate ads in specific categories to a separate site.

This means ads added to a category of the generic site would replicate to the specialized site and vice-versa.

Since there is no plug-in for this, is there a way to export ads from one site category, including pics, and import into another site category ?

If possible including the custom fields from osclass or osclass plug-in.

Not the desired approach as it would be manual but could this be done ?

Another approach could be to use the same database for both sites, and filter the ads on each site to only show, return, records from specific categories.

You could use Rest API & Importer plugin, but everywhere it would reqiure unique IDs/keys to avoid data duplication, not sure if that is 100% doable without modifications.

Something similar to user sync would be required.
Using the same database and files folder, and filtering categories perhaps could work.

I’m using hosting with softaculus so using the same database and folder is doable but for different hosts the REST approach will be more flexible but perhaps more complicated.

Maybe a plug-in will emerge that will do that, or maybe someone can or will develop it.
