Is it possible to archive all the listings that have been published?

Currently if someone deletes their listing all the info is delete (including images). However we want to keep the data. Side note we don't have thousands of live listings so their is capacity.

You can achieve that with history logger plugin. However, archive / bin option would be nice in case if admin or user deletes his ad, there is option to recover deleted content if you would like to redo an action.

This cannot be done by the History logger.

The best would be to store the data maybe in an external file that optimizes the data as well from the attributes plugin.

History Logger Plugin keep history of data, this may be required in some countries ie. for police or by law.
Archival would require different approach. It would require flag directly integrated in core, that could be used by plugins. Currently it's very hard to hide listing in front, but keep it in backoffice.

Wouldn't it be a solution to export the data at the moment of deletion to an external file?

Then you would have thousands of files that would be problematic to read.
