Items per line
« on: January 31, 2024, 02:14:47 AM »
I am using Sigma front end...

On the main page, the listings show 4 items horizontally across the page, followed by a single 'orphan' item, then begins another 4 items, etc.

Is there a setting which would force a complete new line after each 4 items, or is there an 'auto' line break feature?

Part 2 question: depending on the size of the item image, the cards are each displayed using various heights. Can all cards be made the same height, even if it means extra blank space inside the cards, so that they align better, visually?

Thanks.

Listings goes row by row. You may limit them in Settings > general

My apologies that my question was not very clear.  If, in the settings I have "Latest listings shown" set to 12, then I was hoping that I would see 3 rows of listings, 4 per row (since 4 is all that will fit on my laptop screen).

Instead, I see row 1 with 4 listings, row 2 with a single listing on the far right (in position 4), followed by row 3 with 4 listings again, etc.

I'm trying to avoid having the 'orphan' on row 2, if that is possible.

Thanks.

@Norm
You might have height of one of item cards higher then the others.
Then, it might happen that child jump to next row.

Yes, that is the case. It seems that the height of the cards are determined by the height of the item image. The various listings have images of varying proportions. It would be a challenge to have to crop every image into a specific aspect ratio.

Instead, is there a setting to align the top and bottoms of a row of cards, to avoid this?

Looking for a work around...

Thanks.

Easiest is to change force image aspect setting in Backoffice > Settings > Media and refresh thumbnails

Well, it took me a while to find it, but the setting for "Force image aspect" did the trick.

Thanks for your help !   :)
