Correct way to translate OS Class?
« on: December 04, 2021, 06:41:26 PM »
Hi!

I have a really old translation of a previous version of OS Class, maybe from five years ago, when I translated it using a translation manager online.

Can this new version, OS Class 8.0.0, be translated with the same method, any website I can visit and translate directly in the browser? Or should I translate the files? If so, which files would be recommended when I email/contribute the translation?

Thanks!

Best regards,

I forgot to mention, I have read this: https://osclasspoint.com/blog/how-to-translate-themes-and-plugins-b3

..but I am still wondering which files I should email when contributing, the OS Core Translation and Default Theme? :)

@CARS
Files required are in language folder.. i.e. oc-content/languages/en_US ... all files there
Best way is to translate files locally using PO Editor.
Both, .po & .mo files should be updated.
  To get fast support, we need following details: Detail description, URL to reproduce problem, Screenshots

Thank you.

So no theme translation then, when submitting the translation? :)

All or none  ;D  ... you should send zipped folders, not files.
