Thanks! I see a field for the icon, but I can't see how to upload it to the site. Or should I give the URL of this icon in that field?

Nothing to upload, you put there i.e. : far fa-newspaper

I inserted these words, the pictogram has changed. But how does it work?  Can I insert my picture?

You could enter link to image you've uploaded to your hosting, but in that case you will have to update theme to expect icon as image link instead of font awesome icon tag.
