At the moment when you import countries from https://osclass-classifieds.com/geolocation the United Kingdom is imported as one country. The UK is made up of England, Scotland, Wales & Northern Ireland. Can we have four separate imports, one for each country? This would allow the use of the regions in OS Classifieds for the UK countries.

At the moment for the United Kingdom OS Classifieds uses the country as United Kingdom and the region field is as the country, eg England.

If you miss out all the regions, it is nearly impossible to navigate the site especially on a mobile phone.

The data is available with all the Country, Region, Location and Longitude / Latitude info at  http://download.geonames.org/export/zip/GB.zip

Would it be possible for someone to create 4 separate .sql import files for importing the separate countries?

Country, state, county, region, city, city area... Someone needs to decide and pick just 3 levels 

We used geoname.org to generate these with custom script and in all countries the logic based on attributes is same.

Great News! That will make a huge difference for the UK users.

It usually is Country, County, City with the city data also including towns.

The final field location that is used at the moment for the UK is good, it just needs the "County" field before it in the hierarchy.   

So that is:
England, County, Final location
Scotland, County, Final location
Wales, County, Final location
Northern Ireland, County, Final Location

No it will never be like that. England is not country, it is part of United Kingdom, you will have to create custom solution for that.

This would work a lot better leaving the countries out of the United Kingdom, as England has thousands of locations when listed all together.

There will be just extra level of city areas those already exists in osclass just do not use predefined values.

Just saying that England left the EU and sorry but no longer friends... Just kidding :-) No political things but same problem in Belgium... We have french speaking Wallonië and Flemish Vlaanderen same country but another language.

Lol, I wish the UK hadn't left, I think it will be back, part of the EU again before too long :-)

If OsClass had the extra location field, it would solve all the problems, but I understand it is quite a job to enable the extra location field and may take some time.

To omit the countries in the UK in favour of using the County would break the locations into smaller blocks which will make location navigation workable.

The extra level of city area would be good. If you can choose the extra field type, County would be the best option.

Note: UK location file has been redesigned and has now 4x more cities (6k -> 24k). This has been funded by one of customers that agreed to share with community. You can find it as standard file for UK now.
