i am using the free Sitemap Generator Plugin.
My directory listing volume tends to exceed the limit of 500,000 items.

What will happen to the sitemap.xml which will be created by this plugin, as i know there is a limit of the sitemap file...
Do this plugin splits the sitemap file into series or not.?

the generated https://www.jordanindex.net/sitemap.xml show such links couldnt read by browser and Couldn't fetch by google search counsole

Hello, can you maybe help me with my sitemap.xml problem?
It should be generated once a day by a cron job at the moment. If there is more traffic on the site, it should be refreshed every 4 hours.

With this cron job: wget https://brettspiele-flohmarkt.de/index.php?page=cron -O /dev/null 2>&1 it just doesn't work.
At the moment I always have to recreate the sitemap manually in the admin area.
I read in another thread that you might have to change something in functions.php. Where and what exactly would you have to change?
