Tested and got correct error message "Unable to retrieve your location" (I use proxy so it is rational).
Anyway, I will investigate that.

Plugin use html5 and function navigator.geolocation
I have checked for some documents on this.
This is very dependant on browser used.
I have tested firefox, where it works without any issue.
I.e. on chrome, this works on https sites only (there must be some change recently)

Well what does mean "it does not work"?
If plugin shows to user that location cannot be detected, then "it works".
