Noticed another regression bug with 8.1.1 - No seamless switching between language versions of content as now the request is redirected to the homepage of the chosen language.

Previously, and under 8.0.2, switching between languages while maintaining a persistent view of pages / listings / search results / plugins etc. was possible.

When you switch content without having language code in URL, it still work in same way.
This was intentional change and there were concerns about unwanted redirects those could lead into loops.

@MB Thank you for considering to bring it back as it would be very annoying for site users to have to lose their search or content view when switching languages.
