want to update the plugin

Hi frosticek,
I want to update All in One SEO plugin but worried about my settings. It will delete the settings or?

Most of updates does not require plugin reinstall, you just replace files. Therefore no data should disappear.
However doing backup never hurts.

i need to upload my back up again..

I have done one. I have mentioned my settings gone when i replaced files. I am asking you to give me the way of update which not destroy all my settings

All meta data for categories. I have setup again for listings and search pages but categories time taking job.

Ok, so you probably mean data, not settings.
If you reinstall plugin, original table are dropped, you can avoid this removing lines from file:
oc-content/plugins/all_in_one/model/struct.sql

that starts with:
DROP TABLE IF EXISTS

Initially i did not re-install, before updating i started this thread to prevent from any loss of data or settings. I replaced the files but every thing gone. Now i started from the beginning, i removed the old one and installed new one.

Anyway thanks for you time and you can close this thread now.
