Adsense and Editing Homepage

Hey! I have two questions:

1) Where do I add the script for the <head></head> for Google Adsense?

2) What file do I need to edit to change the header background color and the phrase "What are you searching for today?"

1) head.php or common/head.php located in theme folder
2) I would check header.php or inc.search.php or main.php
