Any suggestion on how to get rid of the warning?

$stats = @ModelSR::newInstance()->getStats($item_id)[0];
or

  $stats_data = ModelSR::newInstance()->getStats($item_id);
  $stats = (isset($stats_data[0]) ? $stats_data[0] : array());

Where line 77 is:
