Title: Sign up with username, how to do it?
Post by: annunci on September 24, 2017, 02:28:43 AM
Hello, I want to know one thing, but is there a chance to have new users subscribed, with the username field? Because now I get out: Full name, password, repeat password, email, phone. But if two people are called Mario, they enroll both as Mario, then after it messed up the site with all the same names, no? I tried to make the registration with two equal names and did not detect that it was enrolled. So you need the option to change that field with your username. I saw from the control panel that when a new user subscribes, he is assigned a user name in automatic, a number. But how do you choose the user, the username at the time of registration?

Thank you

Username field in database is just for internal use and user should not fill it.

Is it not possible to choose the user instead of the full name or add the field to the registration page? And then let him go out as the seller's name on the ads. Now that we reflect, so long go it becomes difficult in my opinion. If you are 10 users who all are called Mario and see different ads always with the name Mario is strange... If you can not do now, at least you are thinking about an update? I can write it in the ideas section?

Just to tell you an example: imagine if on ebay you could not choose the username and all the millions of subscribers had just name it just instead of a fancy name. It was very complicated. Then I want that when a user subscribes and the user name he chooses is unavailable he has to choose another one. So it would be much more fair

This question is more for osclass, not for theme author.
