Here is my suggestion:
-How about implement implement angular?
I will leave a demo here https://material.angularjs.org/latest/demo/autocomplete
-And the ajax search without refreshing page?
-How about this design and functionality in user page /*removed*/
-And the www.lannonce.eu (my website) item-post? https://www.lannonce.eu/item/new
With a location with autocomplete (take off the map to be universal)
-And change gallery view to something similar to http://es.wallapop.com/
-The mobile design similar to  /*removed*/

It is too late for suggestions when new version has been release

First everytime we try to identify best solution for user experience. Design is not everything. It is same as "listings timeline" you have send. What it is for? Do I care if someone posted 1 listing earlier than different one? Definitelly not.

Also we are not going to copy design of other themes or their structure, because it looks differently.

Note that theme contains Zara Configurator that has not been enabled yet, but will soon. This one includes possibility to have listings like here: http://es.wallapop.com/, if you make pictures to have generic size (will not be resized), you can check it here:
http://zara.mb-themes.com

Autocomplete is nice, but it would fall on low cost hostings with too many items.
