I am trying to better understand the Search patterns for showing banners in this plugin. The notes say the following:

(14) Keywords are not required, but if you have multiple banners in group and you would like to target them more preciselly, use keywords. Search pattern, region, city and category are used to check banners for keywords. If match found, this banner is shown prior. Separate keywords with comma (,). Example: alabama, bikes, bremen, motobike

Does this mean that only the region, city and category items are scanned for the matching keywords? And the item description is ignored?

No, incorrect understanding.

Let's say I insert into keywords following: Alabama, Vehicles, BMW x5, Bremen.
Let's say I have 20 banners in same banner group.

When user will come to my classifieds and select region Alabama to see listings from here only, our sample banner will be shown because keyword match.
When user enter to search pattern "New BMW x5 turbo", our sample banner will be shown because keyword match.
When user choose only Bremen city, our sample banner will be shown.
When user look into category Vehicles, our banner will be shown.

Hope it is clear now
