Well, after initial enthusiasm it comes to big dissapointsment.

This is because when adding a new item, entire logic for choosing transaction type is sensless.
In its current form it will be hard to use the Alpha theme on a serious project.

During a new item posting customer needs to have strict and easy to choose options which later will not be confusing to the visitors.
With Alpha this is imposibble because there are nonsense options for mixing various transaction types.

Alpha has extra fields on item-post.php. And later those options are shown to visitors on the item description page.
This is FREE and DEAL transaction types.

When FREE or DEAL option is active then the price field is disabled (quite obvious).
But in the same time other transaction types can be set too (very bad idea).
So customer can set for his item:
FREE ALL
FREE SELL
FREE BUY
FREE RENT
FREE EXCHANGE

When DEAL option is used price is disabled too (good) but transaction types are also active (bad idea again).
For the buyers (visitors) DEAL option shows up as CHECK WITH SELLER.
So item to sell can be marked as:
CHECK WITH SELLER ALL
CHECK WITH SELLER SELL
CHECK WITH SELLER BUY
CHECK WITH SELLER RENT
CHECK WITH SELLER EXCHANGE

Dear MBTHEMES and Alpha developers. This is complete mess. No serious ad company would let people create adverts with those description. This simple does not make any sense.

I cant imagine FREE SELL or CHECK WITH SELLER ALL advertising and how confused visitors will be when seeing this...

Please dont get me wrong, Apha is great OSclass theme. But it gest disqualified itself right away because of those messy logic. This needs be changed ASAP.

There is one simple solution which will stop sellers choosing those transaction types toegether. And will not let to post sensless ads which will confuse buyers.

 Please make TRANSACTION TYPE drop down list disabled (same as the price field) when FREE or DEAL options are chosen.

With this change visitors will only see ads marked in easy to understand way.Either:
- FREE items or CHECK WITH SELLER (DEAL) items without the price and without additional transaction types.
...or
- Items with price set and marked as BUY, RENT or EXCHANGE.
All clear to visitors. No confiusion.

PLEASE consider to make above changes to the theme. Thanks.


PS.
When posting a new item, the TRANSACTION TYPE drop down list has also ALL option. This language phrase is common and used on search filters and as the tab name to show ALL adverts.
This ALL phrase should be excluded from this particular form to stop people making adverts marked with ALL badge. Such advert does not make much sense either.

This is nothing, minor adjustment in your case

If you go deeper for eg. CATEGORY - jobs , educations etc no need these fields at all, but they are still showing on search bar for those categories and item-post , item-edit.
Need manual adjustments for specific categories, where to show where to hide specific options.
Some times you need extra field (extra table in sql)
Then above description become a LOGIC, and everyone has different logic, therefore I believe developer unable to reach demand for everyone.

For me, personally it is just a good example in THEME, then it is up to you, how you build up your personal "logic" and how to achieve it ...

This does not change anything.
Condition field has nothing to the problem I mentioned.
Leaving only SELL as transaction type will limit users to properly badge their listing if they post i.e. exchange offer.

Transaction type list should contain more just than SELL option. Otherwise what's the point of having this showing. But this list should be hidden (same as price field) if FREE or DEAL extra fields are selected.

If you want to add FREE ads, then there is no reason to keep the price field active. So it works exactly that way.
For the same reason whats the point of letting users to mark their FREE adverts with SELL, BUY or any other badge - which does not match to the offer subject (FREE) and will confuse buyers when browsing offers.

Hi. I confirm the issue. What we need is proper cascaded fields. If you select a option, show just the options that applied to that option (like is happening when you chose Country/State/City) or as in this demo

True but this solution is not so great as it has been explained.
Once again, how can a Job have a All/Sell/Buy/etc?

This is wrong and the only way to have it fixed is to delete/hide that section and use custom attributes which are specific for a category or a Master attribute like (New/Used) that can be used for all categories - i do not know if this has been implemented yet in osclass. The developers of osclass seems to be verry bussy with new themes or plugins instead of improving the script or creating standard functions.

I am testing the theme for a purchase and need some info regarding this (beside what i find via testing/forum):

1. Can we disable the fields Condition/Age/Transaction or select if one/all can be used to just some categories?
2. Only items with picture (checkbox) is not AJAX so can it be made as well?
3. For price, i make a listing and chose a currency but after, if i look in search, i see the listing with £ for instance but for price filter i can't select £ as currency? Why can't we select and filter listings based only on a currency that we chose? This function still doesn't exist in osclass or is not implemented in this theme?
4. When a user receives a list with new listings that corresponds to his saved search? I was not registered. I used keyword Laptop, received the proper results than i used SUBSCRIBE TO SEARCH and added a email address. Than i used a different browser, registered, made a listing with Laptop in the title and so far i did not received the proper email. So this function is triggered how often?
5. For price fields, to perform the AJAX you have to click anywere on the page to trigger so it would be nice to have it perform automatic after 3-4 sec after user stop type, same way it happens in olx?
6. If we create any type of custom field (attribute) from admin area like dropdown/radio/checkox etc, will those be AJAX as well or not?

We deliver all theme files so you can modify it as much as you need, but if you have no skills to do that, do not expect someone will develop your requirements on support forums.

We deliver all theme files so you can modify it as much as you need, but if you have no skills to do that, do not expect someone will develop your requirements on support forums.

There is no need for such reply? I am interested in your theme which is great and i purchased before theme/plugins from you.

For the rest of the points you may put a yes/no/have no clue/can't implement or whatever, even if some are legitimate - see point 4

To make this menu work properly:
TRANSACTION TYPE drop down list should be disabled/hidden/not active/whatever (the same way as price field) when FREE or DEAL options are chosen.
