Business profile incompatibility with other plugins and features
« on: February 09, 2023, 10:56:35 PM »
Hello.

among them there is also WEBp saving, and the theme "delta".

I think I have the right to express my opinion about the Business Profile plugin.

The purchased plug-in "business profile" looks just depressing against their background. With its extremely high price of 45 euros, one gets the feeling that it was made on the technologies of 2005, when they simply did not think about user convenience. Let's fix this?

Problem.
1.
In a business profile, a new user (most often a business owner) is invited to use a third-party graphic editor to crop their logo manually and then upload it to the server. I tried to explain to one business owner that "image size should be 100*100 pixels". And in response I heard the question "What are pixels"? And "how to do it from the phone"?

1a.
In the same place - the user needs to upload his own banner with a size of 1600x600. The question is the same: "What is it? And how to do it?"
A person can NOT fully fill out his business profile from the phone.

Possible Solution:
In the theme "Delta" on the page "My profile" - there is a built-in module. Where the photo is simply loaded - we show the square - and crop it with one button.
Why can't this be copied from Delta and pasted into a Business Profile?
To have a square selection for the logo upload, and a rectangular one for the cover upload?
Is it really that hard to take code from one place and install it in another?

Problem 2
I have a plugin that converts all uploaded images to WebP. WebP Images Generator Plugin is yours too.

Why is it not connecting to a Business Profile?
The fact is that most users take HUGE files of 6-9-12 megabytes (from their phones) and upload them as profile pictures and cover pictures. Without compression. In the size of 4000x6000 pixels. OOPS? What is the image resolution for?

Also - if the user uploads his photos to his gallery on his business page - then it is saved in its original form and in its original giant size and is not converted to WEBp

Solution:
Connect the WEBp plugin to the processing of uploaded business profile photos. You have it, what's the problem?
Or: copy the code from there and paste it into the "Business Profile" plugin so that the logo, cover, and gallery photos are saved in WEBp?

Let's move on to 2023 already?

Sincerely, Alex.
