Firstly, thanks for the  Google Connect Plugin.

I have been trying for quite some time now but couldn't get " Google Connect Plugin" to work as desired.

1) When I don't add the following code in head.php
<div style="display:none;"><?php gc_login_button(); ?></div>

Then the behavior is:
After clicking on "Sign in with Google", it takes me to Google, and then after selecting the Google account, it redirects to the homepage but user is not logged in.

2) When I add the code- <div style="display:none;"><?php gc_login_button(); ?></div> to head.php
Then the behavior is:
After clicking on "Sign in with Google", it takes me to Google, and then after selecting the Google account, it DOES NOT redirects to the homepage. It stays on the Google page, the page where Google account is displayed to be selected.

Please advise how to resolve this, please.

There are still issues. I get an endless login loop at Google, selecting an account, logging in, being thrown right back to the account selection. I have made sure everything is setup correctly in the developer console @ Google. I tried the method they describe on their manual pages and it returns a true logged-in status. The next logical step would be to rewrite the client side code myself but I just picked up osclass a couple of days ago and I'm not at all familiar with the code base.

your post is 3 mths old but I got this plugin with Alpha theme purchased just 2 days ago

If it does not work due to changes in google api and its confirmed since Oct 2018, what is the point of keeping it in the packages to download for all the time...?


It took me about 3 hrs banging my head on the keyboard and trying to get it working, before I found this post. What a waste of an evening

Is there any never/working version than 1.0.4 or other plugin for google Oauth ?
