Can I do the same in these puglins?

Do I understand that correct?
Basically I can do the same validation before a listing goes "live" in "Advanced Moderating Options Plugin" as in "Item Validation Plugin"
I that correct? or did I miss something...

No, they are completely different.
Advanced moderation options - it helps you to easily update listings and send info to customer/keep history on listing what was modified.
